Shotgun-wielding Robber Steals From A Dozen Houston Food Trucks: Report

Food truck operators in Houston are on edge as police search for a shotgun-wielding robber who has already hit a dozen companies. 

The man, caught on surveillance cameras, allegedly began his robbing spree on Aug. 9.

“He pointed the gun, a shotgun, at my employee,” Rolando Hernandez, proprietor of El De La Barbacoa informed FOX 26 Houston. “It’s a very powerful gun. We’re blessed he didn’t shoot.”

The Houston Police division mentioned that round 10:30 a.M. Aug. 13 meals truck staff situated on the 600 block of West Gulf Bank said they heard a gunshot earlier than an unknown man walked into the truck with a shotgun whereas demanding cash from the money register.

The staff complied and gave the suspect money. The suspect then took off in an unknown course.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 18 to 24 years outdated. He is armed with a black, sawed-off shotgun. Surveillance movies present him with none face coverings.

This suspect is believed to be answerable for at the very least 12 meals truck robberies on the following places throughout the town between Aug. 9 and Aug. 21, with at the very least three incidents unfolding on Aug. 10 alone.

Anyone with data is requested to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a web-based tip, or by the Crime Stoppers cell app. Information resulting in the charging and/or arrest of any felony suspects could end in a money fee of as much as $5,000.
