Larger Dunnes Stores shops will offer extended opening hours for Christmas. For example, the Bandon Road store is open from 7am to midnight on December 18 to 20, extending to 7am to 2am on December 21 to 23, and closing early on Christmas Eve (7am to 6pm). All stories will be closed on Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day. It will open from 8am to 10pm on December 27 to 29, 8am to 9pm on December 30, 8am to 7pm on New Year’s Eve and 11am to 7pm on New Year’s Day.

Each SuperValu store has different opening hours so it’s worth checking your local store now. Some stores will open at 7am before Christmas, with some staying open until midnight. They will close their doors earlier on Christmas Eve nd stay closed on Christmas Day. Most will operate shorter hours on St Stephen’s Day too.

In the run-up to Christmas, Tesco Ireland will be offering extended store opening hours. From Friday, December 21 right up to Christmas Eve the majority of Tesco stores will open until either 11pm or midnight with some larger stores opening until 1am, including: Ardkeen, Wilton, Portlaoise Extra, Maynooth Extra, Naas Extra, Clarehall Extra, Finglas Clearwater Extra, Dundrum Town Centre, Navan and Drogheda Extra.
The opening hours for the rest of the festive season are as follows: Christmas Eve (Sunday, December 24) – 7am to 7pm Christmas Day (Monday, December 25) – Closed St. Stephen’s Day (Tuesday, December 26) – 9am / 10am to 6pm (selected stores only). Some Marks and Spencer stores will be open later than usual before Christmas. In Dublin, the Liffey Valley store will be closing at 11pm until December 23, while in Cork the St Patrick’s Street store will open from 8am to 9pm until December 21, 7am to 9pm on December 22 and 23, and 7am to 6pm on Christmas Eve.
